At the end of June, two beautiful people got married. What made their wedding different wasn’t just the sand between their toes but the question they posed to their guests: will you help us protect our most innocent?

Instead of traditional wedding gifts, Joy and Mark asked their guests to donate to the Innocent Lives Foundation, an organization near and dear to their hearts. In the end, they raised upward of $7797.49.

Why would someone choose to focus their wedding on someone other than themselves? “ILF represents for us an opportunity to make others aware of the good work that is being done to protect vulnerable children and teens,” Joy and Mark said in an interview with ILF, “We are grateful to be in a position where we don’t need material items for our wedding gifts – we feel much better knowing something really special could come of our union.  It was a no-brainer – probably the easiest wedding decision we made as a couple.”

The ILF has clearly made quite an impression on the couple. What about ILF specifically led them to involve us in their special day? “In looking at the different opportunities to make an impact on the lives of those who most need it, it felt natural for us to support the cause of ILF,” said Mark and Joy.

Thank you, Mark and Joy, for your impact on children’s lives.

The Innocent Lives Foundation works to identify anonymous child predators and help bring them to justice. You can help.
